My boyfriend is obsessed with the classic pairing of chocolate and peanut butter and since it was his birthday on Sunday, I decided to make him a special dessert for the occasion. He absolutely loved these and so I decided to make a birthday cake version – I used the same recipe for the frosting; however, I used this recipe for the cake (honestly it is the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had). This is the first cake I’ve ever baked from scratch and I am really pleased with the way it came out (and thankfully, so was my boyfriend)!
